About this Course

Welcome to UBC Junior Thunderbird Spring Hockey Development Program! Junior Thunderbirds teams are led by experienced coaches with a comprehensive background in coaching youth hockey. All athletes in the initiation age range are invited to join, with multiple teams formed in advance of the season to ensure parity across teams and enhance development throughout the season. The Junior Thunderbirds Initiation Program includes: 20 total on-ice sessions at UBC’s Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre - 12 on-ice development sessions; split between team practices and joint skill sessions - 4 intra-squad games - 4 games as part of the Junior Thunderbirds Spring Hockey Jamboree Junior Thunderbirds apparel kit (practice jersey, hoodie, ball cap, hockey socks, and helmet decals)
